The Difference Between
Whats the difference? Whats the difference between here and there?
You.
Me.
Us.
Everyone.
Aside from cultural differences, which I think we often over look the beauty of, there is not much different between here and somewhere else. Why do we like going other places? A change of scenery? Maybe a lack of greenery, lets visit some where nice with lots of ice. People often brag about the places they go and have been. We are, as humans, intrigued with this. But why? Don't get me wrong, I love going places other than "home" just as much as the next person, but what makes us like that? I think that the thought of us going places is that the grass is always greener on the other side. Well, have you ever been to Greenland? Go there and then tell me how green the grass is. Deceiving, much?
Lately, I have felt like the grass is greener on the other side of my relationship even though I know that it isn't. Its so hard to see past that myth and see through to what you have right beside you. She doesnt deserve the way I take her for granted. Even though she is so wonderful. I'm not saying she is the one. Im not saying shes perfect and the best girl I will ever meet. But right now, in this chapter of my life, she is a cornerstone. She is faithful, spiritual, and amazing. I'm still so young and wild that I see no stopping anytime soon. But still, whats so great about the other side? Why would I leave something so perfect behind for something that I have no idea about. Better yet, something that I know is not as good. Maybe its the same reason Adam and Eve couldnt help but bite that fruit. We, as humans, are just wired to be curious.
But this blog still begs the question. Whats so good about there? Why aren't we content with here? Maybe its the same reason you are reading this right now. You think I have some secret way of life that is hidden in the words that will enlighten your way of living. Well, don't waste anymore time here because I know nothing special. I am just as new to this life as you are. 21 years of living and every day is new because I've never been here before. Ive never been this old. I will never be this young again. To tell you the truth, the only reason I even type this blog is so that one day I can look back on this and try to make some sense of who I am and what I'm doing. Just think of it as a clue that will come in handy later in life. Maybe this clue will help you figure yourself out. If it does, then you're welcome. Glad I could help. Back to the topic.
Something interesting supposedly lies in the destination. Good luck finding that. Because What I have found so far is that the best you are going to find is wherever you make it. Your friends, family, or dog. Anything, can be your escape as long as you view it as an escape.
Whats the difference? Is the difference in here, there, or everywhere in between?
Your feedback is as always.... welcome.

Music
I just tried to watch a video I posted on Facebook a while back and it told me that I could view it because of a copyright issue with WMG. So that struck a chord with me...... Why would they not want everyone to just enjoy their product? Watching a video takes no money from them? Its very selfish of them. I guess this is where it bleeds into a grey area for me. As an artist I want people to enjoy my music and support it. Supporting it is what keeps me making more music for fans to keep loving. Someone asked me how I felt about stealing music... again.... grey area. I do download songs from limewire without paying. I do download songs from iTunes. I do burn cd from friends and for friends. I do go out and buy cds. I think its a fair balance. but I dont feel bad for stealing music because, the music that I'm stealing isnt from the artist. The music that I am getting is from the greedy record companies. They are raking in the dough. Artists dont get their fair share of the profit. The big labels are just running away with a pot of gold. Not to justify stealing though. I admit stealing is wrong. But I will also admit that I dont feel bad in the least bit about doing it from bigger music companies. I would rather someone steal my cd (www.wearecompanion.com) and come to a show and sing every word than I would them not want to pay 12.99 and never hear my music. Am I making sense? The best way for someone to support me and my music is to come to a show and give me cash for a cd a shirt or whatever. Please feel free to discuss this issue with me because I do not claim to be 100% right or have all the answers. I am human and any other point of views are welcome.
